Altea is south of Calpe and its old town is just wonderful. It is built on quite a steep hill, you can drive up, but if you have the stamina to walk up the steps, the rewards are there for the taking. There are some different shops on the way up, there are lots of beautiful restaurants and there is a view point worth seeing. The Church is in the square right at the top, this is worth seeing, if its open. |
